Level 1-3 Implemented!


I forgot to send consistent updates about development, my bad!

Anyways, updates have been made to the project so far, the most significant being the addition of level 1-3, the third and final level for world 1! Tin Can Man will find himself going through a short cave to face off against the first of Stir Soup's strongest minions: Lord Jitomate (In the next devlog post because I'm not done finishing the boss room lol)!

Some visual changes were made as well. The grass tileset has been updated to use a black outline instead of the dark green outline it had before. This was made to keep it consistent with the player, enemies, metallic platforms, and the other interactable assets, who all share a black outline! It also helps distinguish the ground from the dark green background that is used in levels 2 and 3, as well as the background hills (see attached images). Lastly, a new tile will be used under spikes to help distinguish them from metallic platforms. Shoutout to the playtester who suggested that change, I think it helps!

A ton of bug fixes were made, a ton of bug fixes still need to be made (I have already discovered numerous as I'm typing this devlog, whoops...), and overall I feel good about the work done so far! School has been pushing a lot of work at me lately, but when I'm not busy, I'm usually doing one of two things: playing a lot of JRPGs because of my recent obsession with them (how come I didn't play Final Fantasy sooner?!), or making some amount of development progress for Can Jump!

 I only have a rough outline of how many worlds I want to add, so I'm thinking I'll release a demo after I've completed and finalized world 1, which should hopefully not take too long! Thank you for reading all this! Good night!
